Hawaiian Telcom was proud to take part in Wheels Day at Iroquois Point Elementary School on February 16.
The event provided an opportunity for early elementary school students to learn about the occupations of civil service workers through the vehicles that help our community. About 350 students from the school (grades pre-K through third) participated.
Hawaiian Telcom employees Dave Bonifacio, Shon Kele and Adam Makekau attended with a work truck, an aerial bucket truck and a fiber splicing van. They talked to the students about fiber optic technology and showed them fiber cables and safety equipment.
“The kids were super excited to see everything we had and asked a lot of questions,” said Shon.
