These four businesses were featured on Connect Hawai'i in July. Learn more about this North Shore eatery, local brewpub, keiki entertainment company, and Hilo bakery with a big mission.

The Smoking Boar and the Coconut

Escape the hustle and bustle of city life and make your way to The Smoking Boar and the Coconut in Waialua. This family owned and operated restaurant serves local style plates for everyone in your 'ohana.

One of their popular dishes is the Mixed Plate, which loads on pork, chicken, and kalbi with rice and mac salad. For those that enjoy lighter bites, check out their Mix Green salad or Fried Mahi Mahi. These plates are sure to fuel your North Shore beach days.

Find them off 67-456 Goodale Ave, right down the road from Waialua High and Intermediate School.

Aloha Beer Company

Looking for a lunchtime, pau hana, or weekend gathering space? Head over to Aloha Beer Company for locally brewed beer and tasty eats. Their beers are crafted by their Bavarian-style trained Brewmaster. Taste it for yourself with one of their popular flavors like Froot Lupes or check out their “Brewmaster’s Beer” every first Thursday. On Fridays and Saturdays, go upstairs at the Kaka'ako location to The HI Brau room for an elevated speakeasy experience.

Clock out for the day and head over to Aloha Beer Company in Kaka'ako or Waikiki!

Storybook Entertainment Hawaii

Storybook Entertainment Hawaii is the place where your keiki's imaginations can come true! Visit one of their three locations for a magical makeover or have Storybook Hawaii come to your next event. Entertain the kids with various characters, keiki activities, photobooths, and more.

For a limited time, drop by their Pearlridge Mall pop-up this summer and be wowed by their fantastic undersea set-up! You can also visit their permanent location in Windward Mall or at their Tails and Scales Mermaid Makeover Bar at Sea Life Park.
